DESCRIPTION:

You’ll pack all of Mumbai’s must-sees into a day on this tour. First, you’ll drive past Mumbai University, the main railway station, the seafront promenade and the exclusive Malabar Hill neighbourhood. You’ll then pull up at the Iskcon Temple to see  and hear  the Hare Krishna devotees perform their chanting prayers. Next it’s on to Mani Bhavan, where Father of the nation Gandhi lived from 1917 to 1934. Inside this home-turned-museum, you’ll find walls covered with photos and a huge library. After, you’ll visit the city’s open-air laundrette known as Dhobi Ghat. Every morning, washing from all over the city’s brought here to be soaped, soaked, boiled and thrashed. There’s time for lunch, before you check out the  famous Gateway of India and Taj Mahal Palace hotel , before reaching your final stop  Colaba Causeway Market. Here, you’ll have some time to pick up souvenirs and trinkets, or just take in the buzzing-with-life atmosphere.

Enjoy this marvelous old Portuguese city studded with vibrant temples and majestic churches. Visit the stunning Baroque cathedral and quaint, colorful Panjim for a taste of Portugal in India. Explore the countryside  local markets and the region’s exquisite beaches  and a visit the historic neighborhood of Fontainhas, known as the Latin Quarter. Discover the area’s Portuguese influences as you walk with your guide down narrow streets and past old, colorful villas.

MANGALORE ON 15th Dec 2022

Your day starts with morning pickup at the port in Mangalore by your private guide. Ride in comfort in a private air-conditioned vehicle to your first destination, a cashew factory, a signature industry of Mangalore, which is the largest cashew producer and exporter in India. Take a factory tour to learn about the process of preparing the cashews from sorting to cooking and packing. After 30 minutes at the cashew factory, proceed to the hills of Kadri to see Kadri Manjunath Temple, a popular Hindu temple that dates to the 10th or 11th century. Your guide shows you around the ponds, gardens, and ornate buildings of the temple complex. Continue to Sri Gokarnanatheshwara Temple (Gokarnath Temple), which is devoted to Lord Shiva, and decked out with white marble floors, gold paint, and extensive murals depicting Hindu gods and goddesses. After two hours of temple hopping, take a break for lunch at a Ocean Pearl Hotel , then head to the Central Market to experience the colorful bustle of local people shopping for fruits, vegetables, and other household items. Next up, go up Lighthouse hill to visit St. Aloysius Chapel, which is know for superb frescos painted in the late 1800s by the Italian artist Brother Moscheni. Your tour ends with drop-off at your cruise ship port  in the late afternoon .

Explore the tranquil, palm-fringed backwaters and byways of Kerala, which are often the only link between isolated villages and larger towns. The picturesque backwaters in Kerala include dozens of rivers, lagoons and lakes that stretch over more than 900 miles, so they are immensely important to the local lifestyle and culture. You will begin cruising the waters from Alleppey, the so-called Venice of the East. Along the way, you will pass coconut-frond thatched huts, colonial warehouses and tiny villages, where you will observe the locals going about their daily lives. It will be an enlightening glimpse into a world that most visitors to Cochin never see. Following the cruise, you will enjoy lunch at a waterfront resort before taking a scenic return route past Fort Cochin and the unusual cantilevered Chinese fishing nets that dot the shoreline
