Enjoy this marvelous old Portuguese city studded with vibrant temples and majestic churches. Visit the stunning Baroque cathedral and quaint, colorful Panjim for a taste of Portugal in India. Explore the countryside  local markets and the region’s exquisite beaches  and a visit the historic neighborhood of Fontainhas, known as the Latin Quarter. Discover the area’s Portuguese influences as you walk with your guide down narrow streets and past old, colorful villas , We will also has a spice plantation visit and experience during this tour , Those who want Beach visit will include instead of Spice plantation (cansaulim beach & Zeebop restaurant) 

What the tour covers: 

The tour includes the following:

  • A visit to the churches of Old Goa, the “Rome of the East”, which was the administrative seat of the Portuguese. We will visit Se Cathedral (the seat of the Archbishop of Goa), and the Basilica of Bom Jesus which contains the body of Saint Francis Xavier, the Jesuit missionary who was canonised in 1622.
  • A brief walk through the heritage district of Fontainhas – this is a residential area, the Latin quarter of Panjim where the traditional colourful houses of the Catholic and Hindu community are still preserved. Here you will see the original fountain after which the area was named.
  • Bazaar walk through the bustling Panjim fish and vegetable market – this is a large colourful market where you can see all sorts of interesting things on offer, including household wares, spices, fish, vegetables and many other goods. It’s a great way to see daily life in Goa!
  • A visit to a Hindu temple to see the local architectural styles and prayer rituals
  • Relax at a  spice plantation for lunch before heading to Pier (Beer Served)

Pick-up passengers from Pier and do a city tour of Colombo combine around the main sights of Colombo with a visit to Gangayama Buddhist Temple and other highlights.

Colombo like many capital cities in developing countries is fast changing its face. Almost overnight, skyscrapers arise from where old buildings once stood. Yet in some parts, the Old-World charm is retained. For example, there is a 100-year-old clock tower and several British built, colonial buildings. Other places of interest are, the Pettah Bazaar, Hindu and Buddhist temples, Residential areas where you find the stately homes of the affluent, the Bandaranayake Memorial International Conference Hall – an outright gift to Sri Lanka from the People’s Republic of China, the Old parliament in Fort, University of Colombo, Royal College, which is probably one of the largest schools in Asia with 7500 students and the Independence Square.
Drive past 100-year-old clock tower, several British built, colonial buildings and the colourful bazaar of the Pettah. Continuing on through the Fort area, which houses the Government and Mercantile Offices, you’ll notice the buildings are newer. Drive around Cinnamon Gardens where the stately homes of the affluent, various embassies and high commissions, the Bandaranayake Memorial International Conference Hall &University of Colombo.
Later a short stop will be made at Independence Square where most of the religious and national celebrations take place. You will visit the Gangaramaya Buddhist Temple. On completion, return to the pier.

Leave the pier at Colombo Port for Ingiriya
Discover the various processes involved in producing tea during this fascinating visit to the Ingiriya Tea Plantation.
Embark on a 2-hour scenic drive to Ingiriya, a lush region boasting ideal conditions for growing tea and rubber. Considered one of the finest teas in the world, Ceylon tea has been produced in Sri Lanka since the crop was first introduced in 1867. During this tour, you’ll discover the history of tea and its unique journey from the tree to your cup.
Upon arrival at Ingiriya, you’ll receive a special welcome with garlands made from tea leaves before visiting the tea plantation to watch the tea being hand-picked from the plant. If the conditions are right, you might also be able to see the rubber tapping process as well.
Proceeding to the tea factory, you’ll be able to watch the hand-picked tea crop being graded, before going through the many different stages involved in quality tea production. No artificial ingredients are ever added at any stage of the manufacturing process.

Leave the tea factory for Colombo.
Arrive back at the Pier at Colombo Port.

♦ No photography and video is allowed inside the Tea Factory/ies – (Eg: at Ingiriya Tea Plantation). Also, Tea Plantation & the Factory will be closed during Three days due to Thai Pongal in January including pre-& post the celebration day, 04th February due to Independence Day, 12th to 15th April (including these two days) on account of Sinhala & Tamil New year celebrations, 01st May due to May day, Three days due to Deepavali Festival in November including pre & post the festival day.
♦ This tour involves walking on varied surfaces, flat, gravel, sandy and uneven ground, paved & tarred paths, steps to climb. As such, this excursion is not recommended for guests with walking difficulties. Generally, the pettah bazaar area could be congested & crowded.
